An Easter Weekend

We had an Easter Weekend.  On Saturday, we colored eggs for the first time.  Noah had a green egg and Rhys had a blue egg.  Dipping eggs in colored water was cool.  Blue, green, yellow and orange.

Noah: Green is my favorite color.  And Daddy's.  And Grams'.  Rhys is Blue and Mommy is Orange.

On Sunday morning we found Easter baskets that the Easter Bunny left us filled with a bunny rabbit...

Rhys: My bunny rabbit was holding a baseball.
Noah: And mine was holding a soccer ball.
Rhys: Plus stickers!!  Thomas the train stickers!!
Noah: And candy.  Uh huh.

Then we went to church and Noah's Sunday school class had an Easter egg hunt.

Noah: I got lots of plastic eggs filled with things like candy and toys.

Rhys: What?  I didn't.  But I did get to have The Mommy, who came in to help with my class. :-)  I love The Mommy.  I just sat on her lap the whole time.

Noah: Then afterwards, we went to lunch at a place called The Olive Garden.

Rhys: And I wasn't feeling well.  All I wanted to do was cuddle in The Mommy's lap and suck on a bottle, which she didn't have.  She left it at church!  I was running a fever.  But then she gave me some ice water and I felt a little better.  I picked up a piece of meatball from her plate and put it in my mouth.  Then spit it out again.  Yuk!  But as I drank and played with the ice water, I still felt a little better.

Noah: I had good mac-and-cheese, though.  With grated parmesean cheese on top.  Yum!

And then Grams, The Parents and us went back to our car in the pouring rain with our leftover food and headed home where we hung out and played for the rest of the day.

Noah: I didn't want to go to bed.

Rhys: I did.

And so we did.
